Now that we're in the thick of 'Winter'... has your knitting changed to match the season? Are you moving on from dishcloths, and tank tops to afghans, hats and mittens? Has your yarn changed from silk or cotton to wool, superwash or heavier cottons?

I used to try to knit for winter in the summer and fall, but that has gotten mixed up this year. Also I joined the purse of the month club, which isn't really a winter thing. What I should do is finish my sweater, I am up to the sleeves, it is a fair isle around the bottom, bottom of sleeves, and yoke. It is made all in one piece similar to the Lopi's patterns, so the body is done, I am on sleeves and then they will be all hooked together and I will knit the yoke, which will be the fun part because it has the pattern. Before my daughters were knitters they couldn't understand why I had projects going at a time, now they understand the UFOs. To get back to the point, yes unusually my winter knitting is for spring and summer and summer and fall for winter.
